I was just searching around the internet and came across a video about clothing that is made out of recycled plastics. Being me, I was super excited and decided to take a look at the website to see all they had to offer. They had towels, super cute clothes, and some jewelry. As I dug deeper, I found a part of the website that said, "Become An Ambassador". All I needed to do is type in my name, email, & Instagram username, (which is bri_bear-2001 btw...), then confirm that I am in fact over the age of 13. Then, in the short time of 10 minutes, I got a response that i had been accepted. There are many benefits to being an ambassador such as discounts and whatnot, but the main thing is that I am getting this company known and helping the world out a little bit.

This is my last Waste Free Wednesday segment... I begin at 0:51. There were slight complications in when my segment was posted this week.. Instead of being featured on Wednesday, I was on Thursday. I begin at 4:51. At my high school, we have morning announcements called "Tiger Talk". In my project, I have created videos that are showing on the Tiger Talks every Wednesday morning. So, I will link the YouTube video and the time I begin if you want to fast forward. This week, I focused on reusing water bottles. I begin at 2:38. I made this video with the mindset of raising awareness for all of the animals being affected by plastic and poaching. And I find the music to be very fitting to the theme... The song is, "Sign of the Times" by Harry Styles. I chose this song because I feel that the lyrics have pieces in it that can refer back to how the animals are being affected by these problems and how the world is changing because of these issues. Some lyrics that really speak to me in this problem are, "We never learn, we've been here before" "Just stop your crying, It's a sign of the times, We gotta get away from here" "It'll be alright, They told me that the end is near, We gotta get away from here" I chose these certain lyrics because, the more I looked into them, the more I connected it to the problems at hand. If you put yourself into the perspective of the animals being affected, this seems like something they would say to each other. This really breaks my heart that our society has turned into. Not even thinking about where the trash that you didn't bother picking up, could have made its way to the ocean and into a sea turtle's stomach. |
